Mondays / Lunes

So...
I was thinking last week that this blog is not getting the attention it deserves... I spend too much time in Ravelry looking at other people's projects and reading what they write there...  And I sometimes feel like sharing so much more than what I write there on my project's notes!
But oh well...  For me... finding the right words when it comes to writing... Finding good pictures to post... Finding an interesting topic even!   It is all a hard work.  And sometimes, this makes me delay my posts here for ever and ever...
But anyway, I thought that maybe if I schedule or program myself to write here each Monday, no matter what... At least a picture! It will make you (my readers, whoever you are) come back here again!
So here I go.  My first official Monday post (let's see how this lasts, shall we?)

So what I want to show you are 2 hats I have worked on during the last couple of weeks.
The first one is my Dragonflies Hat.  This is my first hat pattern, and it was released today!

And a great friend of mine, wrote a beautiful introduction:
In Japan the dragonfly symbolizes success, victory, happiness, strength and courage.
When you first tackle this pattern you will need a little courage… but once you get going, the sense of success and strength you’ll get from realizing “hey, this is not difficult at all!” will bring you great happiness… This, together with the victory of having a new finished object, will be reflected by the beautiful dragonflies featured on your new hat.
It comes in three sizes, the Small size will make for a snug cap, the Medium size for a loose hat, and the Large size for a slouchy beret.

You can see more pictures here.

The other hat, I just finished yesterday, and Mariano helped me modelling it.  It is adult sized, but his head is huge! LOL
So it is a really mindless project.  But I love the style, I love the shape of the crown, and the button-tab detail.
I used Brooklytweed's Shelter for this project, and though it made my hands hurt a lot while knitting it, it softened and bloomed beautifully after the 1st wash, and the fabric I achieved was dreamy.  I love my new hat!
You can read more about it here.

Me encanta mi gorro nuevo!

It's nice to see you on your blog so I hope you do get to post regularly on Mondays. Both your new hat designs are terrific -- I can see how they will flatter many different face types.
